Basic Pilot’s Plane
The basic pilot’s plane licence allows the holder to fly a plane (not for hire or reward) within a radius of 30 kms of airfield of departure.Providing your instructor gives permission you may be allowed to carry passengers. The following conditions must be met:
You must
- be at least 15 years old
- be physically able
- have followed an approved course of instruction both theoretical and practical (minimun 6 hours dual flying time)
- have satisfactorily completed 20 landings solo and 4 hours solo flying time
- have satisfactorily completed the theoretical and flight tests.
Private Pilot’S Licence PPL The Private Pilot’s Licenceallows you to fly as pilot (not hor hire or reward) in any plane with or without passengers or cargo.
Condition Required For Candidats FOR A PPL
- be medical fit
- be at least 17 years old
- have followeda training course comprising :
- 25hours dual
- 15 hours solo which must include a flight of at least 5 hours covering 270 kms (150 miles) with 2 landing and complete stops at 2 airfields other than the airfield od departure.
- 3 solo take-offs and landings with complete stops at a controlled airfield.
Every body can learn at his her own speed depending on his or her abilities and time available.
Once passed the theory, examination is valid for a period of 2 years.
Current licences The basic licence is automatically renewed providind the holder has completed at least 10 hours time during the year. A flying test will have to be taken if this conditin is not met.
The PPL is automatically renewed providing the pilot has completed at least 20 hours flying time during the preceding 12 months of wich 1 hour has be with an instructor. If these conditions are not met a test with an instructor will be necessary.

Rates - Flights with an instructor 111euros per hour
- School plane 99 euros per hour
- Instruction 15 euros per hour
- Flyght instruction manual 60 euros
- Flying log book 12 euros
- Theoretical lessons in the classroom are
- free of charge.
